MEKWARS: LEGENDS

STARTING A GAME

TIMELY COMMENCEMENT: Once an operation is defended by a player, both players are to enter a dedicated or hosted Megamek client in a timely manner. If you need a few moments please let your opponent know. If you have no time to play do not accept the task. Once you have chosen to defend an attack you have entered a contract to play the game. Delaying entry to the dedicated host in which you will be playing the game beyond 10 minutes without your opponents permission will be considered an intentional disconnection.

CUSTOMIZING IN CLIENT:
It is important to know that players may not change ammo loads or modify their pilots or mechs in any way while they are in the client. The only exception to this rule is if the client fails to correctly load your army in some way (99% of the time this will involve a C3 or C3i link). If this occurs a player should inform his opponent and contact a staff member before linking the units.

RE-ROLLING TERRAIN
: When the defense of an attack is accepted the mekwars client will select a terrain type based on the planet attacked. If the defender is unsatisfied with the terrain type selected he/she may choose to exercise the right to re-roll terrain, by selecting the option as presented with the battle information. This option is allowed once in the battle and must be declared before entering the Megamek client.

It is important to note that this option is also available to the attacker in some special cases, notably the Irregular unit focus.

REMAPPING:
While Re-tasking is available to just one player during a battle, the option to ask for a single "remap" is available to each player once at the start of a battle. While Re-tasking involves "re-rolling" a whole new type of terrain, remapping simply provides a player an opportunity to request a new generation of a map without changing the "type" of terrain. a player may use their one remap before deploying any units on the map. Once they have deployed a unit they may not remap without the opponents consent. The player declaring the remap must wait for his opponent to enter the reset command after which both players should leave and then re-enter the dedicated host.
