Good times are the heart and soul of the Magistry. So it comes as some surprise that Emma Centrella would thrust her nation onto the stage of interstellar conflict. The peaceful backwater nation, better known for their entertainment industry than their arms industry has been instrumental in Sun Tzu Liao's machinations. But even the clever Sun Tzu cannot break the will of his headstrong bride, Naomi, the heir to the Canopian throne. Her example is proof that the Canopian nation is a loyal ally and above all a fiercely independent people.
In 3060 the Magistry Armed Forces fought their first real conflict in centuries, taking part in Sun Tzu's St. Ives Conflict.Armed with experience and the most sophisticated arsenal of any Periphery nation, the MAF is becoming a military that the rest of the Inner Sphere may be forced to acknowledge. The Periphery nation has never been an industrial powerhouse, but with the new factories of Detroit Consolidated Mechworks curning out mechs and armaments at a prodigious rate, the MAF is getting stronger every day. Each day the Canopians are demonstrating that they are becoming a power unto themselves, far from mere pawns in Sun Tzu's games.
