Coolant poured from the fallen mech like blood from a vanquished warrior. Behind the armor glass screens the crowd was on it's feet, their screams filtered out of his audio systems. He was still catching his breath, still high on adrenaline when he opened all channels and inhaled the crowd's wild cheers. Everyone loves a champion.

Grand Melee is a Special Operation fought on the game world of Solaris VII. It is for players to take a break from the battlefront and wager their machines in some outlandish battles.

The classic arena duel, the Grand Melee operates under the premise that no matter how many Mechs enter the contest only one can leave. Highly popular amongst those who follow the arenas, only the most confident or desperate pilots enter such events in the hope of a victory. There is perhaps no surer way to either win glory or die then to enter one of Solaris VII's famous grand melees. The grand melee operation pits an individual Mech against multiple opponents in an everyman for himself environment where betrayal is not only acceptable but expected. Life expectancy is short for those pilots who grow addicted to the chaos of the arena and no event will test a pilots skills..and luck, quite like a large grand melee.

A Grand Melee requires at least four players. Winner takes all.
