MEKWARS: LEGENDS

COMBAT POINTS
Combat points are an abstract simulation of both strategic and grand tactical initiative and accumulated combat experience. Combat Points are mainly earned the through games using the Blind Active Matchmaking System. They function as a reward system for participation in the campaign and a mechanism by which players may launch certain otherwise unavailable tactical Operations during a Tactical Campaign.

The surest way a player accumulates Combat points is through playing as the defender during a Tactical Operation. Attackers often gain less Combat Points, though not always. Many operations have modest combat point bonuses for winning games. Additionally players may accumulate Combat Points by successfully wagering points against other players in Grand Melee's on Solaris VII. Combat Points are just not about un-lockable operations. A player has many options to use their combat points on and may explore any or all of them depending on how many points a player accumulates over time. Combat Points may be spend on the following.

 Use  Cost Effect
TacOps  Varies  Variable. Ambush, Assault, Flanking Advance, Trials of Possession all require CmP
Direct request to Quartermaster  750/weightclass Player may select one factory built Mech built by faction instead of a standard QM request

It should be noted that while combat points may be gained they may also be lost (by early surrenders) or stolen (by flanking advances). Players should be aware of this when planning how to use their points.
