MEKWARS: LEGENDS

The Comstar Order has historically been a closed society, a society of secrets. Since the fall of the Star League the Order has meddled with the affairs of the Inner Sphere, steering the destinies of the Successor States in line with the teachings of their founder, Jerome Blake. Only recently has the veil been lifted. With the rise of Anastasius Focht have the crimes of the past been revealed and the course of history changed forever. Under Focht's direction the Order has once more set itself on the path of protecting mankind, this time from the menacing descendants of Alexander Kerensky.

But the split from their dubious past has not been easy for the Order. Fanatics and fundamentalist followers of Blake's teachings have parted ways with Comstar.  While Focht has undertaken the responsibility of safeguarding the Inner Sphere, the Word of Blake continues to undermine mankind's long climb out of darkness.  The reformed Order stands as a self appointed becon of hope, the pristine battlemechs of the ComGuards standing vigilant on the clan border, safe guarding the remains of the Free Rasalhague Republic.  On HPG stations throughout the Inner Sphere ComGuard peacekeepers stand ready to counter the coming anarchy of war. Throughout the Inner Sphere the operatives of ROM stalk the shadowy plots of their Word of Blake counterparts. The Precentor Martial watches the political shell games taking place within the new Star League and knows that war cannot be long to follow.

Comstar has largely been inactive since their stellar victory at Tukayyid. The ComGuards have spent time rebuilding both from that massive conflict and the Comstar/Word of Blake Schism. They have taken a leading role in the formation and training of the new SLDF. They remain a powerful force in the Inner Sphere despite the loss of their home, Terra in 3058, using the Rasalhague Republic as a staging area. The comitment of the Order's members to the teachings of Jerome Blake remains strong, despite the attempts of Focht to repudiate the founder's legacy. The same fervor used to plunge mankind into technological ignorance is now harnessed to protect the freedom and survival of the Inner Sphere.  As the Word of Blake expands it's Protectorate border the Primus and Precentor Matrial watch with growing concern. It is only a matter of time before the opposing doctrines of the sundered Order will face each other in a cataclysmic reckoning.
